For the Footshop x Y-3, we stripped tennis back to its purest form. The court stays iconic, the ritual untouched — but one key element disappears. The ball is never seen. It exists only through sound: sharp hits, controlled bounces, the rhythm of a duel unfolding out of frame. By removing the obvious, the focus sharpens. Presence, tension, movement, material. What remains feels quieter, stricter, almost ceremonial — and more intentional. All brought together in the US Open Collection short film
The match is told through fragments: feet tracing white lines, fabric shifting under hard light, silhouettes locked in stillness before impact. The camera follows an invisible rally, cutting between breath, footwork, and texture. Y-3 appears through cropped, abstract compositions — worn, not displayed. Winning is irrelevant. What matters is presence: on the court, in the outfit, in the moment.
