The Brief

Direct Insurance Company has introduced a new type of insurance which covers vehicular damages up to 250 million CZK. We were approached by an agency to film a spot that introduces the damage in an exaggerated way on social networks and YouTube. Since the spot is targeted towards a local market, the central idea and the joke of the spot was the use of a Czech synonym in which million can be expressed by the word melon. Thus 250 melons were about to stand in the way of a professional racing driver, whom was supposed to bring to mind the iconic driving of Ken Block.

The Solution

We approached Martin Semerád with whom we have chosen the airport complex route and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo racing car. For the final effects, we used dynamic editing, including sound design, which played an equally important role in the contrast with slow-motion shots. Several cameras were used for filming, including GoPro cameras which were mounted inside and outside of the car and on a drone. A second video was created simultaneously which was filmed on a 360° camera.

The viral potential of Facebook was fulfilled and thanks to 500 shares over 200,000 unique users saw the video.
